For some reason the game doesn’t register on my playstation, I bought it from ebay.UK since they don’t have that game here. Will it ever work?

The only way it would work would be to mod your PS2 or buy a European PS2. The European PS2 systems and games use a different encoding called PAL. In the US and North America we use NTSC encoding. PAL and NTSC are not compatible with each other. sorry
